FAQs

  • I will be making rounds to deliver fish in specified locations in Spring and Fall. Spring pick-ups at this time are Oregon only. Fall pick-ups are available in Oregon, Washington, California and Utah. For the most current pick-up locations and dates, see Order and Delivery. Place and time of listed pick-up locations will be confirmed via email before the pick-up. Be sure to enter your email/contact information during checkout to receive pick-up details.

  • Preferably, as many folks as possible will be able to make it to one of the designated pick-up locations. Be sure to include your address during checkout so that if the pick-up doesn’t work for you, we can coordinate a delivery.

  • Shipping is generally quite expensive, both for you and for me. Salty Debby’s does not advertise shipping at this time.

  • Something I have wondered myself and a question recently brought to my attention, “What is the white stuff on my salmon?”

“Albumin, a protein in salmon, appears as white streaks or globs on the fish once it's cooked. It's flavorless and safe to eat. To prevent albumin from appearing, don't overcook your salmon.” -eatingwell.com

The article linked above further explains that albion is a natural occurring protein also found in eggs, beef and milk. Read the full article for more information! Feel free to reach out with any questions you have about your fish and I will be happy to research.
